A Career Built on Leadership, Service, and Trust

My experience spans local government, public safety, nonprofit healthcare, strategic communications, and community leadership. I have served in executive and senior leadership roles including Chief of Staff, Public Information Officer, and Director of Community and Foundation for a nonprofit health system.

As Chief of Staff and Public Information Officer with Douglas County and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, I worked across departments and alongside elected officials, first responders, and community partners to lead strategic communications, public information, community engagement, and organizational initiatives. I also helped guide communication and community response during major emergencies, including wildfires, floods, COVID-19, and civil unrest.

I’ve also built my career around bringing people and organizations together. As co-founder of RISE Against Domestic Violence, for a non profit organization called Family Support Council. This signature community event in Douglas County brings together businesses, community leaders, elected officials, and advocates to raise funds for one of Northern Nevada’s only undisclosed domestic violence shelter.

I am a FEMA-trained Executive Public Information Officer, with specialized experience in crisis communication, emergency public information, and leadership. I also hold a Master’s degree in Mass Communications and certifications in Crisis Management, Executive Leadership, Public Information, and Chief of Staff leadership.

What connects these experiences is the thread—the relationships, communication, strategy, and trust that hold everything together. I believe the strongest leaders know how to see those connections, bring the right people to the table, and keep an organization moving forward when circumstances become complicated.

My approach is grounded in service, transparency, collaboration, and practical strategy. I don’t believe in communication for communication’s sake. I believe in communication that builds understanding, strengthens relationships, protects reputation, and moves people toward action.
